Make March Mild Month

We believe that CAMRA's 'May is Mild Month' idea is ill thought out. May is most definitely not mild month! Like them or loath them golden ales are in full swing by then and mild ain't going to get much of a look in, certainly not as far as we are concerned. Mild is associated with cooler and cold weather; It is not considered a drink for late spring/early summer.

In many ways it would be good to bring mild was to the fore in January or February, but "make March mild month" does roll off the tongue a bit better. No doubt more pubs would join in if they felt that they had a better chance of selling enough, as they surely would in cooler weather.

It's a bit late for this year but let's work to make March 2010 the first 'March is Mild Month' - Join the campaign today - let's try and persuade CAMRA to switch their promotion of mild from May to March.
