| from: 25/06/09 | to: 27/06/09 | Scottish Real Ale Festival 54 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2LR, The Scottish Real Ale Festival is organised by the Scottish branches of The Campaign for Real Ale, in partnership with SIBA Scotland (Society of Independent Brewers). The 2009 festival will be our seventh annual event, and will introduce consumers to an abundance of cask ales from breweries across Scotland, from Galloway and the Borders to Shetland and the Western Isles. The event will showcase many of the beers currently produced in Scotland and we hope to exceed the 26 breweries and 128 beers presented at last year's event. Our visitors come from across Scotland and the rest of the UK but with a significant number of overseas visitors always in evidence. 2008 saw visitors from USA, South Africa and New Zealand. As part of our contribution to Homecoming Scotland we have asked all ten of our Scottish branches to contribute a page to our festival programme to highlight to our visitors the many activities and attractions associated to the promotion of real ale all across the country. What better way to explore Scotland's scenery, foods, quality hotels and many other attractions than via a Scottish Real Ale Trail? We will offer prizes to those of our customers who visit a brewery in at least six separate areas across Scotland. We will also use the event to showcase local food. Customers will be able to purchase fine hot and cold food provided by Stephens of Dunfermline and there will also be bottled beers and t-shirts, CAMRA products and CAMRA membership stalls. , Contact: Bob Wallace, bobwallace.1869[remove]@yahoo.com Website
